This hospital was started in loving memory of the Golden Jubilee of Priestly Ordination of His Grace Mar Augustine Kandathil, the late archbishop of Ernakulam and the beloved Founder of the Congregation. It was started as a clinic in 1951 to avail primary treatment to the sick people in Mookkannur an din the surrounding villages. It has grown gradually and the building too was expanded accordingly.
